Fall is the best time to build a healthy green lawn, and the ideal time for turf renovation is now less than a month away!
Work you do on your lawn or commercial turf areas in September will have a great impact on the turf’s health throughout the year. Here are the basics you should do every year, regardless of your lawn’s overall health:
- Aerate
- Overseed
- Fall fertilizer
If your lawn is not in good health already, you may want to take it a couple steps further with:
- De-thatching
- Slit seeding
- Organic compost
Or, if your lawn is in bad shape and you want instant results, you might want to consider putting in new sod.
Regardless of the option you choose, it pays to plan it now. The ideal time for fall turf work is mid-September through early October, and with summer drawing to a close that time will be here very soon. Keep in mind also that these projects will require specific equipment and skills, so do your research if you plan to do it yourself.
Of course, we recommend consulting a professional. If you think that’s your best option, just give Blake Landscapes a call to get your fall turf renovation work on our schedule!
